Making Stuff Happen

This week, Roddy gave me a good idea in creating a piece, just as I imagined, out of both ceramics and clay and decide after the completion of it whether or not clay and ceramics is really needed. so i am creating my hockey inspired "landscapes" of an indoor and an outdoor scene. Each individual image in both compositions is going to be printed on a separate piece of clay, size 4X6. Then the clay prints are going to be compiled together to make one solid image. The pictures below are just a mock-up done in photoshop that I will use as a guide to put them together. this week i gridded each scene in a sketchbook to know exactly what picture to take where. Then I did a test collage in photoshop. I am printing them out today and then over the weekend I will make the slabs of clay. On monday, i will re-shoot the prints with a film camera so they are able to be printed onto clay with liquid light. Then I will print them on to each slab, put them together, and try to color them in by hand so that they will then be colored photos.
